Call for Applications:
2026-2027 Communications/Social Media Intern
The Fordham Initiative on Migrants, Migration, and Human Dignity, with generous funding from the Cummings Foundation, seeks applications from Fordham undergraduate and graduate students for a paid internship. The Communications/Social Media Intern will support content creation and scheduling across social media platforms for the Initiative on Migrants, Migration and Human Dignity. This role is ideal for a student interested in digital marketing, design, and social impact.
Timeline: Start in August or September, work throughout the year, 2-5 hours/week ($18/hour).
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and scheduling social media posts across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Curating and editing our monthly newsletter (Mailchimp)
- Drafting occasional press releases for website
- Creating graphics and assisting with visual branding
- Editing and producing short-form videos (For example, interviews with Interns and Initiative partners)
Qualifications:
- Strong written communication skills
- Familiarity with social media trends and platforms
- Organized, reliable, and eager to learn
- Ability to create short-form videos for social media
